Stoney Lookout - Hike & Late Lunch

Join us for a 4.2 km loop hike up to the Stoney Lookout trail at Mt. Norquay. Following the hike, we will proceed to the North American chair for a lunch and drinks, conversations with friends and neighbours at the Cliffside Bistro!

About the event
We will meet at the Pulse coffee shop in the Malcolm Hotel on Saturday August 10, 2024 at 9:30am.
We will hike the Stoney Lookout trail from Mount Norquay parking lot. This trail is a 4.2 km loop with about 250 m of elevation gain. Although not a long hike, it is intermediate difficulty as there are some steep sections. We will travel together slowly as a group. Please bring appropriate clothing and water. Hiking poles and bear spray are also recommended. There is a beautiful view from the lookout, which is approximately halfway around the loop.
Following the hike, we will proceed to the North American chair at Norquay. Please bring your ID that shows you are a Bow Valley resident in order to be allowed to travel up the chair lift for $10 per person.

We look forward to people joining and having a fun time together. The maximum number of people for the event based on the bistro will be 20.
We can work together to arrange carpools. As this hike is within Banff National Park, a valid National Parks pass is required to drive into the park and hike at Norquay.
